Date:

From the great ones we all wish for to the traumatic ones, these moms have provided plenty of heartwarming entertainment while reminding us of our experiences.

In honor of Mother’s Day, we’re recognizing some of the best moms from TV and movies to have entered our living rooms, screens, and hearts.

Here are seven of our most memorable Nollywood film and TV moms:

nwosu she is the typical nigerian mother like mom tiwa on the fan favorite web series ‘Skinny girl in transit’. She is dramatic, affectionate, overly religious, and occasionally makes you nervous. But no matter how upset she gets, you know her heart is always in the right place when it comes to her children.

Mama Gee takes a break from playing her evil mother roles being a caring, protective, caring, yet stressful parent. She leaves everything undone ‘Omugwo’ for his daughter-in-law.

Before becoming the ‘King of Children’, Sobowale she played the best kind of mother, full of unconditional love for her stubborn daughter Beautiful (maureen silver).

Like any good Nigerian mother, she has a bad dream about her daughter’s friend, who ends up charming Linda’s husband (the always gullible tony umez) on their wedding night.

The bewitched Richard leaves his wife for his friend, who goes a step further by visiting the native doctor to drive Linda crazy.

It ends in all glory to God when the native doctor is struck by lightning and dies; Richard is turned in; and Linda is miraculously cured of her insanity. The moral of the movie is simple: trust your mother’s dreams and intuition.

benson She is the typical Nigerian mother who thinks she knows what is best for her son (Kenneth Okonkwowho does he fall in love with? a village girl She initially rejects the young woman played by Ini Edo.

worlds apart‘ ends on a high note as Benson’s character finally has a change of heart and accepts her into the royal family.

like ma’am wilsonSilva plays an evolved mother and mother-in-law in ‘potato potato‘. She is respectful, she knows when to give her son space and allows her to make her own decisions. She is definitely not your usual Nigerian mom.

Oh oh strikes a chord with us in this film with her portrayal of a mother abandoned by her only child, Ejike. I’m crying just thinking about her crying scenes.

She plays the apt description willing to give her life for her son’s happiness. She discovers that her son is thinking of committing suicide to give eyes to her baby who goes blind after an accident.

Ezeonu’s character decides to commit suicide and requests that his daughter-in-law’s eyes be donated. The latter gets his eyes and the couple lives happily ever after.
