So Paris ended up being much cooler than anticipated and this outfit turned out to be a much-needed trip. I thought I might end up wearing this one on one of the cooler nights, but I got cut off wearing this look 3-4 times while we were there! The dress and flats are amazingly comfortable and the jacket was worn almost every day!
It got me thinking more about some of the chic basics I’m looking for this season. Below I’m highlighting my five favorites that I have on my list.
CROPPED TWEED JACKET
I brought my first Nili Lotan jacket to Paris, and I absolutely loved it! Right now I’m looking at this cropped tweed jacket in this beautiful shade of ivory.
BALLERINA FLAT WITH SQUARE TOE
Everyone says that the ballerinas are back. I’m saying it never left! I wore this pair of ballet flats in Europe, but have been looking at these for under $100 for everyday wear!
STRIPED BRAIDED SWEATER
I just can’t get enough of striped sweaters. Every season I tend to add one, or two, or five more! I love the combination of the cable stitch and stripes placed in this cosy, oversized, nautical themed piece.
STRAIGHT LEG CROPPED DENIM
MOTHER denim makes some of my favorite jeans, and their Tomcat is my favorite fit. This new faded finish looks great back to easy t-shirts and flip flops – a perfect jean for summer!
SUEDE STRAP SANDALS
I’ve been looking for an updated strappy sandal and this one hits all the right notes. With its suede insole, slight heel, tubular straps, and metal toe box, it’s modern enough without being *too*. It is also available in four colors!
