Vice President Kamala Harris has arrived in the Triangle.
Harris was in the Raleigh area Monday to talk about small businesses.
Harris arrived at the airport just before noon and planned to visit a nearby site where he will make remarks at 1:10 p.m. and then fly out at 3:55 p.m. No further details have been made public.
Governor Roy Cooper met Harris at the Raleigh-Durham International Airport, where he arrived with US Representatives Valerie Foushee, Wiley Nickel and Deborah Ross, all Democrats; Isabella Casillas Guzmán, administrator of the US Small Business Administration; and Lt. Col. Brittany Carter, commander of the US Air Force Communications Squadron 89.
Harris planned to visit the Triangle last week but changed her plans to travel to Monterey Park, California, where she paid respects to the victims of the mass shooting at a Lunar New Year celebration.
