Nigerians react when Nengi says he suffers from OCD

Date:

The reality star revealed via her Twitter page that suffering from OCD has made her get up at 3am to clean her kitchen.

“My OCD made me clean my kitchen at 3am smh”, she wrote in her tweet.

According to Mayoclinic, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) presents a pattern of unwanted thoughts and fears (obsessions) that lead you to perform repetitive behaviors (compulsions). These obsessions and compulsions interfere with daily activities and cause significant distress.

Following the revelation, many Nigerians who saw Nengi on BBNaija trailed her.

They noticed that Nengi was not interested in cleaning the house during his stay in the reality show and never bothered when the house was dirty.

One Lily hit Nengi, writing, “We didn’t see this OCD part of you on BBN, or is it a recent development.”

Another user, Charles wrote, “When would people realize that there is more to OCD than being extremely clean? It’s much more than that”

Trisha wrote, “You were bored, the kitchen was dirty and you decided to clean. Ma’am, that’s not OCD. Also, OCD has more to do with extreme tidiness, not even cleanliness. It is a disease”

A certain Viveeen wrote, “If you had OCD (the dirt aversion type), you wouldn’t have left your kitchen in a messy state after using it. You would have been cleaning up in the process of using it. Perhaps you think that’s a fancy term.”

Following the uproar surrounding her comment, the reality star wondered why people were upset about her post. “Why is everyone so mad at this app? They need to RELAX because they look RIDICULOUS mad at being so hurt by a harmless tweet.” she wrote.
