Easily remove duplicates on your iPhone
Apple added a valuable tool to iOS 16. Your iPhone now has a “duplicate photos” folder where you can merge anything duplicated. It’s so easy to use. That’s how:
- Open the photo app and select albums.
- Scroll down and select duplicates. It’s under Utilities.
- You can select all of them by pressing Select > Select all > Join or select individual photos and touch Join.
- Confirm your choice and recover some storage space.

Clean your photos folder on Android
Android phones have a trick to free up space that you may not know about. It only takes a few touches.
Instead of manually locating and deleting everything you don’t need, open the Files by Google app, then select Cleansed. If you don’t have it, head over to the Google Play Store and download it for free.
Tap confirm and release > View Junk Files and select what you want to delete. When you’re ready, tap Clear > Clear.
That’s all it takes to remove screenshots, memes, duplicates, and other junk lurking among your important photos.
