Abuja, October 10, 2023 President Muhammadu Buhari has rejoiced with Nigerians in the Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa on her 60th birthday, Tuesday.

Buhari stated that the well-known journalist, who was elected a member of the House of Representatives in 2003, 2007 and 2011, he had continued to define exemplary leadership at every opportunity.
5 The president highlighted the dedication, diligence and selflessness that brought Dabiri-Erewa into the spotlight as a broadcaster on the NTA News program.
6 Therefore, he praised the journalist for using her craft to give the poor, sick, disadvantaged and homeless members of society a chance to live a better life by telling their stories to the world.
7 According to him, Dabiri-Erewa’s sincerity of purpose, meticulous handling of sensitive issues, and ability to share her vision and lead others easily put her in leadership positions.
8 He praised his skillful handling of the diaspora family and building a mutually beneficial relationship with the government and citizens at home.
The president praised her courage in seeing beyond “the ordinary and following through to ensure that ideas become institutions so generations can share governance.
