The Moroccan head of government opened the Choiseul Africa 2022 Business Forum in Casablanca on Friday. Hundreds of Africa’s most influential decision makers were present at the summit, a welcome gesture for Morocco as it seeks to expand its economy.
“It is quite natural, especially since Morocco is a strategic and crucial African country because it has developed in recent years a really ambitious policy with reason and quite legitimately towards francophone Africa, but not only sub-Saharan Africa but also in the broader sense. . of the term,” said Pascal Lorot, president of the Choiseul Institute.
“We are delighted with the success of the forum, the quality of the exchanges, the participants and the level of the discussions that we had. We are able to realize both the difficulties that others face and the solutions that they propose.
“We were also able to exchange ideas on the difficulties and solutions we have, and assess the investment opportunities of the countries present,” said Mehdi Tazi, vice president of the General Confederation of Moroccan Companies (CGEM).
Also present at this pan-African summit was the president of Madagascar, Andry Rajoelina, who participated in a special panel exposing investment opportunities in the country.
“It is an honor for Madagascar to already be present in Casablanca and at the same time to be the guest of honour. It is an opportunity for us to present and share all the business opportunities that we could do in Madagascar,” said Joel Randriamandranto, the Minister of Tourism of Madagascar. Madagascar.
“It is obvious that a country like Madagascar needs investment, to be known and attract investors,” said Lalaina Randrianarivelo, director of communication at Filatex Group.
The African delegations had the opportunity to highlight various sectors through various panels that always put Africa at the center of the discussions.
