Megastar Amitabh Bachchan turns 80 on Tuesday, and it’s been a national celebration for his fans. The star, however, celebrated his special day with his family. Her daughter Shweta Bachchan took to social media to share photos of the cozy dinner they hosted for Bachchan.
Shweta wrote in an Instagram post, “Twinning & Winning – perfect ending to an amazing day 🤍🤍🤍”, and shared a photo with her father, both of them wearing similar kurtas designed by famous fashion designers Abu Jani and Sandeep. Khosla. In one image, Bachchan is seen sharing the frame with Shweta and his son Abhishek, who was dressed in a bright yellow kurta. The trio look like modern royalty.
Shweta wished her father a happy birthday with a couple more posts on social media. In one of them she is seen kissing her father on her cheek, and in the other she is holding old photos of her.
Shweta also shared another photo from her childhood, writing, “Like the song says… but you love me daddy” and I love you ♾🧿.”
The actor celebrated his birthday by making a surprise appearance for fans waiting outside his Mumbai residence. He greeted them while Shweta was close to him. On his special birthday episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 14, his wife Jaya and Abhishek surprised him by appearing on the show. On the episode, Shweta shared a special video message for him and talked about being inspired by him every day. He also said that he admires his work ethic, even at this age. He also shared that she feels blessed to be his daughter and that he has given her the best life a girl could have, and that she leads by example. Other family members, including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, also shared special video messages.
The actor has a tight work schedule. Not only does he host KBC 14, but his movie Goodbye by him premiered on October 7. Directed by Vikas Bahl, the film also stars Neena Gupta and Rashmika Mandanna.
