Kenzie Ziegler struggles to get out after going through a breakup.
The 18-year-old dancer has been in a relationship with musician Eddie Benjamin since 2020, but has previously dated the likes of TikTok star Tacoda Dubbs and ‘Stuck in the Middle’ actor Isaak Presley and admitted that each time she broke up it was like “losing a part” of herself, but she manages to get over it by surrounding herself with her loved ones.
She said: “I think personally during those times, I felt like I couldn’t go out and I couldn’t have fun. I lost a part of myself… I definitely think going through a breakup, you just need to pick yourself up and surround yourself with people you care about. I think you just need to have fun and take those situations lightly and get through them.”
Meanwhile, the former ‘Dance Moms’ star, who rose to fame alongside her older sister Maddie on the Lifetime reality show, has relaunched a career in music and wrote the song ‘100 Degrees’ for her friend who was going through a “terrible” but he used his own experience in putting pen to paper.
She told E! News: “This song is called ‘100 Degrees.’ It’s actually about one of my friend’s personal breakups. They broke up with her on Christmas Eve, and it was a terrible, terrible breakup. I had to get in my head to write a breakup song. I definitely went back to my last breakup. I had to relate them for this song too. I just wanted to shed some light on how terrible breakups can be and how breakups can ruin a lot of things for you, especially in the season or especially like the season you are in or the places you go.
“They actually loved it. I think she sent it to her ex-boyfriend. I think that’s terrible. Now, I feel bad, but it’s okay because we don’t like it anyway!”
