For the umpteenth time, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Oyo State, has been named one of the 10th leading universities in Nigeria.

The ranking list also confirmed the institution as the best state university. The proclamation was made by Times Higher Education (THE), which surveyed 1,799 universities in 104 countries.

The ranking is based on 13 performance indicators, including teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international perspective.

In another similar development, an online publication, Just Events, publishes what it called the best universities in Nigeria 2023, listing a total of 12 institutions in which LAUTECH still ranks as the only state university to make the list.

The collaboration is aimed at having a qualified doctorate. Candidates from LAUTECH’s seven engineering programs conduct their academic and research programs in Kentucky. Its aim is to improve the development of staff and students and to improve the international ranking of LAUTECH.

The Engineering careers included in the offer are Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering, among others.

The Director in charge of the LAUTECH International Office, Prof. Timothy Ipoola Olabiyi, explained that the new relationship seeks to establish and recognize a formal connection between the two institutions.

He listed other engineering courses to include Chemical and Agricultural Engineering.
