Kylian Mbappé converted a pass to him from Lionel Messi in the 24th minute to open the scoring.
PSG went into the break with a 1-0 lead. Only in the 78th minute did PSG score their second of the match when Messi was assisted by Mbappé.
Messi got his second assist of the match providing PSG’s third converted by Mbappé in the 82nd minute.
It was a great result for PSG after struggling for the last few weeks.
Messi Goal Trends
The goal scored by Messi against Ajaccio dominated the trends on social networks after the game.
“A goal that started with Messi, continued with Messi and ended with Messi. Leo Messi is timeless,” said the match commentator.
Messi now has six goals and nine assists in French Ligue 1 this season and already surpasses his tally from last campaign.
Ajaccio midfielder Thomas Mangani described Messi as the greatest of all time after his striker in the game.
He said: “What we witness today from Messi is unbelievable. When you see him play, he is the best in the world by miles.
“The fact that he’s performing like this at his age shows why he’s the best in the game.”
The win means PSG remain top of France ahead of their next Champions League game against Maccabi Haifa on Tuesday 25 October 2022.
