“The baseless accusations leveled against the institution/officials today are highly regrettable and strongly condemned. No one will be able to defame the institution or its soldiers with impunity.”

As reported by WION, during the hour-long televised speech in which Khan recounted the assassination attempt on him, he accused Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif along with the country’s interior minister and a senior military officer of masterminding the attack.

The head of the PTI also urged the Chief of the Army General Staff (COAS), General Qamar Javed Bajwa, to hold the “black sheep” of his institution responsible.

Khan also said that he had a video that will be released in case anything untoward happens to him.

“Four people conspired to kill me behind closed doors. I have a video with me, if something happens to me, the video will be published,” added Khan.
