According to the report, WhatsApp is currently working on a feature called avatar profile picture that allows users to set a custom avatar as their profile picture. However, the feature is currently under development and will be released in a future WhatsApp update for Android, iOS and Desktop.

The WhatsApp development tracker has shared some screenshots showing how to customize and select an avatar, choose a background color, and set an avatar as a profile picture.

Meanwhile, the Meta-owned instant messaging app is also working on a new feature that will let you edit sent text messages. This means you no longer have to worry about typing errors. The development has been reported by WhatsApp development tracker WABetaInfo. The report says that “the label “Edited” will appear when a post has been edited.”

The app is also rolling out the ability to detect links within the title of status updates in a new updated version 2.22.22.11 via the Google Play Beta Program. The feature allows users to open a link within the title of the status update. Previously, WhatsApp did not support links included in a title of status updates.
