The report says that WhatsApp is rolling out this feature to the latest 2.2240.1.0 update which was already pushed last week to some beta testers. The new app sidebar will allow users to access status updates, settings, and their profile.

The Meta-owned instant messaging app is reportedly working on a new feature that will let you edit sent text messages. This means you no longer have to worry about typing errors. The development has been reported by WhatsApp development tracker WABetaInfo. The report says that “the label “Edited” will appear when a post has been edited.”
3. Ability to detect links within the title of status updates
WhatsApp is rolling out this new feature in a new updated version 126.96.36.199 through the Google Play Beta Program. The feature allows users to open a link within the title of the status update. Previously, WhatsApp did not support links included in a title of status updates.
4. “View Once” file lock screen shot
The app brings a new privacy feature that will make media files like photos and videos shared as “Watch Once” more secure. Whatsapp will prevent users from taking screenshots of View Once media files. In this way, the media file shared with others will be safer and more secure. According to a report on WABetaInfo, the instant messaging platform has rolled out the feature in the WhatsApp version 188.8.131.52 update for Android beta and iOS beta users only.
5. WhatsApp group gets bigger
WhatsApp is working on expanding its group member capacity limit, allowing users to add up to 1024 people in a single WhatsApp group. Previously it used to be 512. It is now rolling out to some users even in the stable version of the app and will probably reach more people in the coming weeks.
