Details/Take away: Raphael Oshionebo, known professionally as Riosoundz, is a Nigerian Afrobeat artist and performer based in Lagos State. He grew up in the south, in the state of Uromi Edo, where he completed his primary and secondary studies. He proceeded to study Microbiology at the University of Abuja. Even while in college, Rio always knew that he was going to make music professionally.
Riosoundz’s passion for music was born in his college days, incorporating elements of African music, soul, Afro beat, hip-hop, R&B and reggae. He regularly recorded songs and experimented with various fusions of Afrobeats and sounds that reflect the ingenuity and skill of the African musical style. He is currently working on creating and delivering more of his sound to inspire and impress all musically inclined people who appreciate good music.
